Want to know what the world was searching for in 2006? I know I do. Popular searches can give you some of the best insight into popular trends. For example, it is easy to see from the top 10 overall searches that the internet is dominated by teens. Maybe your site should start catering to teens more or maybe you should create a new site for teens? Yahoo released the complete list of popular searches for us this week. The most interesting trend I see is that Spiderman 3 was the most popular movie search in 2006, beating out all the movies that actually came out in 2006! Hmmm, maybe I should invest in Hasbro (toy manufacturer)
