GOOGLE ACQUIRES ANOTHER SITE... JOTSPOT

JotSpot is a site that allows users to collaborate and share ideas, similar to Wikipedia. JotSpot makes it easy for groups to keep all their ideas and documents in one space and it allows them to edit those documents or create new ones without having to know html. This is another positive step for Google and it's right in line with their philosophy of making the internet useful, organized, and easy to use.

COMPETE INC. WILL TAKE OVER ALEXA RANKING SOON

This is, of course, my opinion. From the looks of things though, Compete Inc has developed a ranking baromter that is much more accurate then Alexa. Mostly because Alexa only gets their stats from people that use the Alexa toolbar (i.e. techies), while Compete is gathering their metrics from a number of sources including ISP. This translates into better stats. Compete is still in it's fledgling years, but as they tweak and improve their rankings I am sure Compete will become known as the new Alexa. Unless, of course, Alexa steps up and starts gathering stats from multiple sources.
