YouTube is one of the fastest growing social communities on the net and now they are owned by Google. YouTube makes it extremely easy to put your videos on the web and share them. They even have direct integration with a few Blogging applications, which means you can post a video to your blog with 1-click!
"The YouTube team has built an exciting and powerful media platform that complements Google's mission to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful," said Eric Schmidt, Chief Executive Officer of Google.
Google will not make any major changes to YouTube. They plan on keeping the brand name and all the employees. I'm sure we'll eventually see some fantastic video integration applications coming out of this merger.
